Welcome to Light on the Screen, a weekly devotion to show Christ’s love by uplifting emerging Christian YouTube channels sharing the Gospel! 

As we begin on May 1, 2025, in the sacred Month of Mary, we honor the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus, who leads us closer to her Son.

We are here to shine His light in the digital world, guided by Christ’s command: 'Love one another as I have loved you' (John 13:34, NIV). Beginning Monday, May 5, we will feature five emerging Christian YouTube channels—each striving to grow from their first steps to reaching thousands—so you can be inspired and uplift them in their mission to share the Gospel.

We invite you to search, like, comment, and pray for these channels and other Gospel-centered creators you love, helping them spread Jesus’ truth across the internet.

During this Month of Mary, let’s embrace her example of humility and love by supporting channels that proclaim Christ. Our Issue 1 feature, XP-Devotion, is a Catholic devotional channel dedicated to deepening faith. Whether a channel is just starting with zero subscribers or growing toward thousands, your engagement can be a powerful force in strengthening their mission.

By watching videos, leaving heartfelt comments, subscribing, and sharing on your favorite platforms, you’ll join a community declaring God’s glory (Psalm 96:3).

Why Light on the Screen?

YouTube is a vibrant mission field, with millions seeking truth daily. Emerging Christian channels, from small devotionals to growing ministries, need our support to reach hearts for Jesus. Light on the Screen is our way to show love by:

  • Guiding You: Each week, we’ll highlight five channels as examples, showing you how to engage with their content and others you discover, especially those honoring Mary this month.

  • Encouraging Action: Search for channels using keywords like “Christian vlogs,” “Catholic devotionals,” or “Bible teachings,” like their videos, comment with encouragement, and subscribe to fuel their mission.

  • Inspiring Prayer: Pray for creators’ growth—whether it’s 100, 500, or 100,000 subscribers—and for viewers to encounter Christ, perhaps through Mary’s intercession.

  • Building Community: Share your favorite channels in comments or on your preferred platforms, and join us to uplift creators you love, amplifying biblical truth.

Our name, drawn from Matthew 5:14 ("You are the light of the world"), reminds us that every click, comment, and prayer can shine Christ’s love through the screens of the world, guided by Mary’s fiat.

How It Works

Every Monday, between 9 AM and 11 AM, we’ll share a new devotion post featuring five emerging Christian YouTube channels. These channels, ranging from 0 to 100,000+ subscribers, will serve as a guide to inspire your engagement.

For example, you might discover a Catholic devotional or a kids’ Bible series, then explore similar creators you love. We’ll provide:

  • Channel Details: Their mission, subscriber count, growth goals, and view counts.

  • Engagement Tips: Suggested search terms, comments to leave, and ways to boost visibility (e.g., watch playlists, share on your favorite platforms).

  • Prayer Points: Specific prayers for each channel’s mission and impact, invoking Mary’s guidance this month.

But it doesn’t stop there! Use our featured channels as a starting point, then search YouTube for other Gospel-centered creators who resonate with you. Whether you find a vlog, sermon, or worship channel, your actions—liking, commenting, subscribing—help spread Jesus’ love.

Here’s how you can join Light on the Screen and show Christ’s love:

  1. Search: Use YouTube to find our featured channels and others (try “Catholic devotionals,” “Christian vlogs,” or “Month of Mary prayers”).

  2. Engage: Watch videos, like them, and leave comments like “Your message blessed me!” Subscribe and enable notifications.

  3. Pray: Lift up creators and viewers, asking God and Mary to grow their ministries and touch hearts.

  4. Share: Share videos on your favorite platforms, like X with #LightOnTheScreen, Instagram, or others, tagging channels and inviting friends to join.

  5. Reflect: Share in comments or on your preferred platforms how these channels, or others you love, deepen your faith.

Your small acts of love can help a channel reach 500 subscribers for fan funding, 1,000 for monetization, or even 100,000 for a Silver Play Button, all while strengthening their Gospel mission.
